It may look normal from the outside, but the internal design of this incredible chain has made a gear range previously only available on double chainring drivetrains possible. And this is the most important element for making the Eagle drivetrain ultra-efficient, smooth, quiet, and durable. The Eagle chain links have a reduced radius, without pointed or chamfered profiles, which significantly reduces noise, wear, and chainring and cassette consumption. This design offers a flatter surface, which translates into stronger chain riveting and greater resistance.

Flow Link
The inner chain links are ultra-smooth and completely free of sharp edges: the result is a perfect match between cassette gears and chain, with less friction, greater quietness, and long life. The overall design is narrower, capable of withstanding higher angles, and it also has flat outer links that result in stronger riveting and superior resistance.

Hard Chrome
The new Sram chain with Hard Chrome treatment lasts four times longer than other Sram chains. This is possible thanks to the innovative finishing process of the inner links, which allows the force needed to seat the pins and the breaking strength to remain unchanged compared to other Sram chains. The Hard Chrome chain lasts longer without decreasing its strength.

PowerLock

Sram engineers developed PowerLock® technology as a secure, durable, and above all, tool-free method of chain installation. Given the reduced tolerance of 10-, 11-, and 12-speed drivetrains, each PowerLock can only be used once to avoid reducing drivetrain performance.
